Val grew some grass as part of a church Easter lesson. We had fun watching it grow but I had never before noticed how little drops of water end up at the top of each stalk after you water the dirt!

I got this rose on February 6 at a Valentines party. The flower long since died but I was intrigued to see three little buds sprout and try to grow. So, I plunked it into the ground to see what would happen. I thought it was especially ironic that the party hostess had tied quotes about love around each rose and mine said, "Love is the flower you've got to let grow." John Lennon
So I let the flower grow.
UPDATE: Jackson has since trampled the rose stick. I'm disappointed and kicking myself for not thinking of protecting it better.
