Look! It says Passover 2010! On my sour cream! I never noticed before today. Sure enough, it's kosher.

My SuperMIL came over last night to keep me company while Superman worked and we spent a few hours today cooking a Thanksgiving meal together. The poor lady never did have a daughter to pass down all her super-yummy cooking tricks to, so I volunteered. Heaven (and Superman) knows I need all the help I can get!

I can't imagine a better mother in law. Really. I have the best one - I don't care what you say.

We are enjoying garlic mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon and onions, stuffing (made with all my homemade bread ends and crusts!) and gravy. The roasted chicken was still cooking.

In my effort to gain weight and get my BMI back into respectable territory (I must say, feeling sick with anxiety did me no favors in the eating healthily department. Or the eating department, actually) I've been looking for ways to up my daily caloric intake.

I find chips and queso do the trick quite nicely, since we're out of ice cream. Only 6 more pounds!

The Pioneer Woman knows how to make a delicious salad, no question about that. Nevermind that it took forever and a day to prepare (see teething, ear-infected coughing 1 yr. old and snotty, cold-suffering 3 yr. old) it was worth all the time. The dressing alone is amazing.
