A Field Guide To Now

Hey everyone,

If you haven't already met Christina over at {my topography} you really need to head right on over there and do it. Go ahead. I'll wait.

OK! So - what did you think? Gorgeous, talented woman right? I knew you'd agree. You might have noticed that she's on the brink of launching a fantastic creative project called A Field Guide To Now. She describes this as "an illustrated collection of essays and prose" and "part survival guide and part adventure guide" relating to the present tense. But don't take my word for it - go watch a video describing the project more fully here.

This undertaking fits her perfectly. She has such skill and talent for describing just exactly how a single instant feels... I can't even express how perfectly she does this. I can only point you to some of my favorite works of hers.

This one is about peripheral kisses.

This one is about a chicken coop in the snow.

These ones are about the fleeting frailty of life, and so is this. (These ones make me cry every time.)

This one is about love and learning.

Are you convinced yet? Even if you only read one of the links, I know it was enough to persuade you of Christina's talent.

Please consider backing this project. I have. Certain dollar ammounts even get special gifts that are just for you so check it out! The minimum amount to invest is just one dollar and every bit counts. She's set a minimum goal of $10,000 which will barely cover all the costs of creating and finishing the book. With only 27 days to go, the project is 77% funded. Almost there!
