Val and I were discussing baby Elaine's various features, including her eyes, nose, mouth, ears, shoulders, neck, etc., when we reached her hair.
"Brown hair," said Val, while nodding knowingly and gently patting Elaine's head. I hadn't even prompted.
"That's right!" I praised, shocked that she knew enough to make that accurate observation. I didn't think she had that good of a grasp on her colors yet. I decided to test her, "what color is Mommy's hair?"
"GREEN!" she yelled with enthusiasm. Just as I thought. She might be able to know and identify brown (I'll keep testing her) but for now the color of everything is GREEN and has been for some time.
Niloticus would be proud.
