We just finished reading a couple of books before nap time. Instead of rushing off to get another book, K ran off to get a favorite pair of shoes. She brought them back to me saying "shoosh pweeeze" and signing 'help' while saying her word for help which doesn't sound like 'help' at all.
I told her that she doesn't need shoes to take a nap and that it's time for her nap right now. She turned around and walked over to the crib where she dropped both shoes in, then returned to give me a hug and kiss while nodding to indicate that she was ready for a nap.
I guess I was wrong. Maybe some people DO need shoes to take a nap.
