Surfacing

Let me explain. No there is too much. Let me sum up.

I worked today. Why do I always post on the nights after I work and am totally exhausted? I work tomorrow. My iPod is still broken, but not completely. It's just halfway broken which is worse because I never know if I can rely on it or not. So my work days are incredibly boring in addition to being 10 hours long.

Superman either fractured or nearly fractured (x-rays not fully read yet) his left ankle while playing softball on Monday. His foot is currently in a splint and may graduate to a cast if they see a fracture in the other x-rays. As it is he can't work for a week and if he gets a cast then obviously he can't work for much longer than that. He will be home all day with Kate tomorrow.

I got my MacBook (I'm glad I didn't get the Pro) and I'm really glad I didn't wait until my Dell completely died. I have not used a Mac for a long time (closest thing was the Mac labs at college) and so learning everything is taking a while. But it's not bad as Mac is supposed to be somewhat intuitive, but possibly more intuitive to someone who hasn't used a PC for over a decade. Merely expressing my undying love for Mac hasn't magically made me able to use one without some initial frustration. Unfortunately, my Dell just decided to not notice anything plugged in to it's USB ports. Including the external hard drive, so unless I find out how to fix that transferring everything over to the Mac will be a headache. I think I had that USB problem before. I can't remember what fixed it.

My house is in a state of absolute chaos. I think I've forgotten what it's like to have laundry that is folded and put away. The bathroom is in an acceptable in between state but the baby's room is still feeling the move of the toilet. There's no carpeted floor space for Kate to enjoy her tummy time. It would help if I was actually home for a weekend instead of going different places.

I'm a Mac girl. As you can tell, my daughter is more of a PC baby.

Yes, when I first got the MacBook I got similarly frustrated. I tried to keep it a secret, grinning like a fool an exclaiming OF COURSE I LOVE IT OH MY GOODNESS WHO NEEDS TO COPY AND PASTE ANYWAY? NOT ME! and other equally ridiculously loyal things. However, I finally asked the right people the right questions, have it mostly figured out, and LOOOOVE it. Now when I use a PC I feel superior. And what else does a girl want in life than that? :)Also, Kate is absolutely precious. She is completely intent on whatever Superman is doing on his screen! ADORABLE.
