5%

I am 40 weeks pregnant today.

Only 5% of babies are born on their due date so I don't expect that Kate will be very punctual. I have a Dr. appt. today at 3:30 at which I hope to be told something marvelous like I'm 100% effaced and 5 cm dilated but I doubt it. She's been moving so much I find it hard to believe that her head has dropped any further into position. But I could be wrong. =)

UPDATE: Not much has changed since last week. I might be 40%-ish effaced but still not even a centimeter dilated. I thought so. What can I say? My womb is a comfy place to be! So she'll be a late one. I bet I'll go into labor just as my sister gets on the plane to go to New York (choir competition/performance) later this week. If nothing happens before Friday I'm scheduled to meet with a doctor and we'll talk about my options at that point.

  1. wow.... so she'll be one that arrives fashionably late. :) I'm out of town in Oakland from Friday night till Saturday night... so it looks like I might not be able to be there the day of... but I'll try. :) Mommy-to-be and hubby both will be in my prayers for sure. Sorry you'll have to wait a little longer for your little angel... she'll be here soon!

  4. TAB was among the exceptional 5% to arrive on his due date. Being the prompt sort, he arrived at 12:06 a.m.
