Sick

I'm sick. Congestion, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, my eyes hurt, etc..

This takes away my motivation to do anything at all, other than lie around and focus on breathing and swallowing without my throat hurting.

Superman is so good to me. I got home from work and he hugged me and sat on the couch with me to hear about how miserable my day was. Then he made me a snack and put me to bed. I slept for over two hours (we'll see if I can sleep at all tonight; I've been dealing with insomnia recently.) While I was in bed he did laundry and the dishes and made a drawer for the computer desk. When I woke up he offered food and vitamins. He's just so great. You're all missing out. =)

Regarding the insomnia: I've been awake from 2-3 am for the past few nights - really awake. Awake enough to feel like going in to work, but it's too early to get ready to go in at 5 (I'm normally there at 6) so I actually get up for work at 4:30 am and then later in the morning I get all sluggish and tired. If I could start my 8 hour day at 2:30 or 3 it would be great!

  2. Hi Beck - it's me Jo (aka Mylenna form OD). Decided to get myself one of these blog thingies - OD is getting annoying with all the ads and slow page loading. Not sure I understand how to work it all here yet but I'll tweak it a bit when I have time :)Glad the pregnancy is going well - apart from being sick that is. *hugz*

  3. Dang, no WONDER I thought you were awfully quiet... I kept checking your other blog place. Looks like I'll have some catching up to do this weekend. ':P(I assume you must have told me about this at some point, or mentioned it on TypePad, but my brain apparently glossed over it completely. My apologies.)

  6. Whoops, I just read the bottom of the bottle. "Pregnant or nursing women and people with auto-immune conditions should consult their health care professional before drinking."So maybe Odwalla wellness isn't for you.

  9. I'm glad you have Superman there to take care of you. Get well soon sweetie! You should just stay home and rest and be doted on until you're feeling better.

  10. Ahh, the joys of the last weeks of pregnancy.... It does seem so inefficient to be awake at the worst possible time of day doesn't it? You will be thankful for it after your little one arrives though. On a lighter note, hopefully this sickness will tide you over for a while. It's so much easier to be sick and not have the demands of your little one(s) pulling you in five different directions when all you want to do is curl up and sleep for weeks. 'Hope you feel better soon!
