It's been raining pretty much non-stop for the last few days. The dogs come in all wagging and muddy, Jackson especially, so I make them dry off in the mudroom for a while before letting them into the house. I couldn't understand why Jackson seemed to be WAY more wet and dirty than T-bird. Sure his coat is longer but the underside of him always seems to be pure mud, as if he went and purposely curled up in a big puddle. They each have dog houses with warm blankets where they can avoid the rain; I didn't figure out Jackson's excessive dirtiness until I happened to glance out the kitchen window today. Here's what I saw:
T-bird is inside his dog house and Jackson, as you can see, is right outside the door in the rain and mud... but next to his buddy. Totally and completely adorable; he has bonded more closely with dogs than people all his life.
